Watching a Pond Grow

September 2008

The plants were just starting to finnish growing by September after a very successful year. The pond had successfully raised its first batch of baby frogs and by this time they were all over the garden, front and back. I frequently had to stop while cutting the front grass becuase a froglet would jump out from near the mower.

An ornamental duck that stood guard at the end of the pond all year.
