June 2007 June was a month of amazing change. We completely changed the bog layout and added 5 carnivorous plants, also the pond plants continued to grow at an amazing rate. I have two pictures of the pond for June. The first is from June the 3rd and the second is from the 27th. In 24 days the pond grew alot as you will see. Also we finally got the gravel which finished off the pond nicely. June the 3rd June the 27th Its abit like spot the difference with there two pictures. The bog changed alot with ferns and CPs (Carnivorous plants) being added along with other grasses being added all around the pond. The pond plants like the reeds and water lilys grew alot and so did all the other plants.
This is the Carnivorous plant bog area. Three of the plants came from my own collection (the front 3) and the back two i did have in my collection but i decided to buy them from a CP grower just incase they didnt survive the winter. They are under a cage because the birds took a liking to my moss. I plan to add more CPs to the bog in 2008. They were put in to the bog in their own pots without holes that were big enough to collect water well because they are bog plants. Also they cant live in normal soil and i could remove them if i needed to that way.
